What is the Readership?
The readership of the Family Business Directory (FBD) and New Zealand's Christian Directory (NZCD) is potentially the entirety of the Christian population in Australia and New Zealand. Given its online presence and the promotion we do through a variety of Christian Media, conservatively we aim to serve more than one million Christians across both countries.

What sort of business advertises in FBD and NZCD?
FBD and NZCD is primarily comprised of businesses owned and/or managed by Christians. It provides a way for Christians in both metropolitan and regional areas to locate Christian service providers. The online directory also provides a cost-effective advertising medium and enables owners of Christian businesses to reach a large, loyal, targeted audience.

FBD and NZCD is promoted in Christian media and through churches, hence the online directory is (primarily) comprised of businesses owned or managed by people connected to those networks, or who service those networks. Another way of saying this is that participation in the online directory comes from people from within local churches, businesses that have working relationships with local churches, or who support local churches.

NB: No business can be Christian in/or of itself! It can only have Christian owners/workers etc.

Businesses we would not list and the reason why?
As a Christian-based organisation we will not accept advertising that contradicts those principles (e.g. companies that engage in any immoral activities, etc) or that contradicts its work in the community (e.g. alcohol companies, etc.).

This is a general guideline, however, we reserve the right to cancel any material deemed inappropriate.

How long has FBD and NZCD been in operation?
FBD has been in operation since 2000. NZCD was started in 1995 (under the name of Christian Contact).

How do I know if the online directory will work for me?
Whilst we cannot guarantee the effectiveness of the online directory for all businesses, we know it works for most, as over 50% of display advertisers (from our print directory days) rebook every year. And now being online, our Google rankings are high. So not only do we aggressively market the website, but we also corner all of the online traffic looking for 'Christian business.'

When can I get started?
With our new online model, you can register at any time and have your business online within 24 hours. Your listing is live for a full 365 days. As your annual listing nears completion, you will receive email notification as to advise of your completion date. You can also re-book for a further 12 months at this time.
